Twin Eagles Hosur Clinch TNPPL Season 2 Title in Chennai
Chennai: Twin Eagles Hosur emerged winners of the second season of the Cavin’s Tamil Nadu Pickleball Premier League (TNPPL), which concluded on Sunday at the Central Atrium, Express Avenue Mall, Chennai.
Salem Super Smashers finished runners-up, while Nellai Superstars secured third place in the tournament.
The four-day league, held from September 17 to 20, featured 12 district-based franchises and 168 players. Teams competed for a total prize pool of ₹30 lakh.
The tournament was co-sanctioned by the Tamil Nadu Pickleball Association and the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu.
Chennai-based pickleball brand DYSSC was associated with the tournament as its Official Paddle Partner. The company presented its paddles to the three teams that finished on the podium — Twin Eagles Hosur, Salem Super Smashers and Nellai Superstars.
DYSSC Founder Siddharth Galada congratulated the three teams and said the tournament provided an opportunity to showcase the growing interest in pickleball in Tamil Nadu.
“TNPPL put the sport in the middle of the city, in front of thousands of people who had never seen it,” Galada said.
DYSSC produces pickleball equipment for the Indian market. Its HexCore Pro paddle features a T700 carbon fibre face and polypropylene honeycomb core. According to the company, the paddle is USA Pickleball approved and certified to the governing body’s PBCoR .43 standard.
The TNPPL Season 2 concluded with Twin Eagles Hosur taking the championship, followed by Salem Super Smashers and Nellai Superstars.
