Rajalakshmi Engineering College Hosts REBOOT 2026 with Grand Symphonic Concert for Freshers
CHENNAI: Rajalakshmi Engineering College hosted REBOOT 2026 – A Night at the Symphony, a grand welcome celebration for its new batch of students, bringing together more than 15,000 students, parents, faculty and staff as part of the REC family.
Moving beyond the usual college welcome celebrations featuring music and dance, REBOOT 2026 presented a unique symphonic concert experience designed to give the freshers a memorable beginning to their college journey.
The highlight of the evening was a spectacular 100-piece live ensemble performance by the Studio 28 Bangkok Symphonic Orchestra, which brought an international musical experience to the college campus.
The event also featured a special performance by music composer and performer G. V. Prakash Kumar, adding to the excitement among the students. Team Staccato presented its musical performance, while REC’s own musical band, The Unison, showcased the musical talent of the college students.
The evening also witnessed the presence of actor Soori, who added to the celebrations and interacted with the college community, creating memorable moments for the students.
REBOOT 2026 was conceived not merely as a celebration but as a message of “Reset. Recharge. Restart.” — encouraging students to begin their new chapter with fresh energy, enthusiasm and confidence.
With music, performances and the participation of the entire REC community, the event served as a grand welcome for the freshers and marked a new beginning for the Rajalakshmi Engineering College family.
