MMA Wins AIMA Best Management Association Award for 16th Consecutive Year
Chennai: The Madras Management Association (MMA) has been conferred the All India Management Association’s (AIMA) “Best Management Association in India” Award for 2025–26, marking its 16th consecutive year receiving the national recognition.
The award was presented on September 21 during the inaugural session of AIMA’s Platinum Jubilee National Management Convention at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi.
The award was presented by Amitabh Kant, former G20 Sherpa of India and former CEO of NITI Aayog, who currently serves as Senior Adviser to Fairfax, SMBC and Warburg Pincus.
MMA’s Immediate Past President Lakshminarayanan Duraiswamy, President A R Unnikrishnan, and Executive Director Gp Capt R Vijayakumar (Retd), VSM, received the award on behalf of the association.
According to MMA, the recognition comes during its Platinum Jubilee celebrations, marking 75 years of the association’s activities in management education and professional development.
MMA President A R Unnikrishnan said the 16th consecutive recognition reflects the association’s continued work in promoting management practices and providing access to contemporary management thinking, global perspectives and industry practices for professionals, entrepreneurs, students, academicians and institutions.
Executive Director Gp Capt R Vijayakumar (Retd), VSM, said the award reflects MMA’s activities in management education, professional development, thought leadership and lifelong learning. The association conducts conferences, conventions, lectures, workshops, competitions, leadership programmes and other knowledge initiatives involving participants from industry, government and academia.
MMA attributed the recognition to the continued involvement of its members, Managing Committee, institutional and knowledge partners, sponsors, speakers, faculty, chapters and other stakeholders.
The association said it will continue its activities focused on management education, leadership development and strengthening the management movement in the region and across India.
