ISKCON Chennai to Organise Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra on July 19
Chennai: ISKCON Chennai has announced that the Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, beginning at 3:00 PM.
The chariot procession will commence from near Thangamayil Jewellery, Chinna Neelankarai, and proceed to the ISKCON Temple on East Coast Road (ECR). Special spiritual programmes and devotional activities will be held at the temple following the procession.
The Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra is one of the most significant festivals celebrated by devotees of Lord Jagannath. The festival marks the ceremonial procession of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva, and देवी Subhadra, symbolising devotion, joy, and spiritual unity.
The event has received the blessings of H.H. Jayapataka Swami Maharaj and H.H. Bhanu Swami Maharaj.
H.G. Balarama Govinda Das, Managing Director of Thangamayil Jewellery, will participate as the Special Guest.
ISKCON Chennai has invited devotees, families, well-wishers, and members of the public to participate in the Rath Yatra, join the devotional kirtans, pull the sacred chariot, and take part in the celebrations.
The annual procession is expected to draw a large number of devotees from Chennai and nearby areas, making it one of the city’s prominent spiritual events.
