Chennai: Kauvery Hospital has launched ‘Kauvery 3X Chennai’, an integrated robotic surgery programme that connects its three Chennai hospitals under a common system of robotic-assisted surgical care.

The programme uses the 4th generation da Vinci Robotic Surgical System and offers robotic-assisted surgeries across multiple specialities, including gastroenterology, oncology, urology, gynaecology and nephrology.

According to the hospital, robotic procedures will be available for several complex conditions, including gastrointestinal cancers, colorectal cancers, breast and gynaecological cancers, prostate and kidney surgeries, kidney transplantation, bladder procedures, thyroid surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder surgery and advanced gastrointestinal procedures.

One of the key features of the programme is robotic kidney transplantation, expanding access to minimally invasive surgical options for patients in Chennai.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-founder and Executive Director, Kauvery Group of Hospitals, said the initiative brings together advanced robotic technology, multidisciplinary expertise and uniform standards of care across all three Chennai hospitals, enabling patients to access robotic-assisted treatment closer to home.

The hospital said the programme is intended to improve access to robotic-assisted surgeries while maintaining consistent standards of care across its Chennai facilities.
