Chennai Plastic Surgery Conducts Advanced Gynecomastia Surgery Training

Chennai: Chennai Plastic Surgery (CPS) conducted the second edition of Chest Sculpt 2.0 – Advanced Gynecomastia Surgery & Male Chest Contouring, a two-day training programme for plastic surgeons.

Led by Dr. Karthik Ram, Plastic Surgeon and Managing Director, Chennai Plastic Surgery, the programme featured live surgical demonstrations, case discussions and supervised hands-on training.

The first day included three live gynecomastia surgery cases, with discussions covering patient assessment, surgical planning, preoperative markings, liposuction, glandular tissue management, chest contouring and symmetry.

The second day focused on six supervised hands-on cases, allowing eligible participating surgeons to gain practical experience. Participation was subject to patient selection, informed consent and applicable clinical safety protocols.

The programme also included scientific discussions and peer learning on different surgical approaches and challenges in gynecomastia correction.

Dr. Karthik Ram said the objective was to help surgeons understand the reasoning behind different surgical decisions, observe their application during procedures and practise the principles under supervision.

Chest Sculpt 2.0 forms part of CPS’s continuing academic initiative focused on gynecomastia surgery and male chest contouring.
