City Union Bank receives Digital Payments Award

Chennai: City Union Bank (CUB) has been conferred the Digital Payments Award by the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, for its outstanding contributions to promoting digital payments. The award was presented to Dr. N. Kamakodi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of City Union Bank, by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on June 18, 2025.

• Second Position Among Private Sector Banks: CUB secured the second position among private sector banks for its overall digital payments performance during FY 2024-25.
• Digital Payments Performance: The bank’s innovative and exemplary work in digital payments was recognized through this award.
• Department of Financial Services: The award is part of the Digital Payments Awards initiative to acknowledge and encourage banks and fintech companies to promote digital payments.
