Virtusa Foundation Unveils Advanced Lab Facilities at Lady Willingdon Higher Secondary School
Chennai: In a significant boost to STEM education, Virtusa Foundation has launched advanced lab facilities at Lady Willingdon Higher Secondary School in Chennai. The new facilities were formally inaugurated by Udhayanidhi Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, and Anbil Mahesh, Minister for School Education.
The project, implemented in partnership with the Government of Tamil Nadu’s Department of School Education under the Namma School Namma Oorupalli initiative, aims to promote education, environment, and empowerment. The advanced lab facilities include a 6600 square foot state-of-the-art science laboratories and classrooms for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, offering immersive STEM learning experiences.
Additionally, the initiative has added a modernized kitchen-cum-dining area, ensuring students have access to nutritious meals in a clean, hygienic environment. These infrastructure expansions aim to encourage enrollment, reduce dropouts, and significantly improve educational outcomes and the well-being of the students.
