South African Tourism’s 21st Annual India Roadshow Lands in Chennai

Chennai: South African Tourism launched its 21st Annual India Roadshow in Chennai, showcasing 15% new products to foster deeper trade partnerships. The event attracted over 300 Indian travel trade agents and featured 40 exhibitors.

According to Gcobani Mancotywa, Regional General Manager for Asia, Australia, and Middle East, South African Tourism, India has always been a high-priority market, with strong demand from family travelers, adventure seekers, and luxury tourists.

  • Growing Demand: Indian travel demand for South Africa continues to grow, with family, adventure, and luxury segments leading the way.
  • New Products: 15% new products were showcased at the Chennai roadshow, catering to the evolving preferences of Indian travelers.
  • Trade Partnerships: The roadshow aimed to strengthen business relationships and unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Simplified Travel: South Africa’s new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system and Trusted Tour Operator Scheme (TTOS) will enhance visa processing for Indian tourists.

The multi-city roadshow will now travel to Mumbai on March 20, 2025, further fostering deeper trade partnerships and driving outbound tourism to South Africa.
