TVK Conducts Policy Awareness Meeting, Distributes Welfare Aid to 500 in R.K. Nagar

Chennai: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) organised a policy awareness public meeting and welfare assistance distribution programme for 500 beneficiaries at Sunnambu Kalvaai, Manali Road, Korukkupet in the R.K. Nagar constituency of Chennai on Friday.

The event was held under the guidance of party president Vijay and General Secretary N. Anand, with the objective of explaining the party’s policies and development vision for Tamil Nadu.

The programme was organised by the 41st Circle leadership under the headship of Dr. N. Marie Wilson, the party’s R.K. Nagar Assembly candidate. A large number of party cadres, district officials and local residents attended the gathering.

Renowned political speaker Nanjil Sampath, popularly known as “Sollin Selvar”, addressed the gathering as the party’s policy explainer and elaborated on the ideology and governance vision of TVK.

The event was conducted under the leadership of G. Velu, Chennai North East District Secretary, and witnessed participation from various party wings including youth, women, legal, media, IT, student, labour, fisherfolk and traders’ wings. Circle secretaries from circles 38 to 47 were also present.

As part of the programme, welfare assistance under various schemes was distributed to 500 beneficiaries from the R.K. Nagar constituency.

Party representatives stated that equality, social justice and progressive governance form the core principles of TVK and reiterated their commitment to contest the upcoming Assembly elections with the ‘Whistle’ symbol.

They added that the large participation at the event reflected the party’s growing grassroots support in the region.
