SRMIST Spotlights Pharmacy Excellence on World Pharmacists Day
SRM College of Pharmacy, SRMIST, marked World Pharmacists Day 2025 at the Dr. T.P. Ganesan Auditorium, embracing the global theme “Think Health, Think Pharmacist.” The event highlighted pharmacists’ vital role in healthcare and celebrated SRMIST’s national achievement—ranking 10th in the NIRF 2025.
Dr. V. Chitra, Dean, welcomed the gathering, followed by a presidential address from Dr. Nitin M. Nagarkar, Pro Vice-Chancellor, who emphasized pharmacists as “custodians of health and safety.” Dr. T. Mythili, Additional Registrar, urged students to lead with ethics and innovation, while Chief Guest Mr. MD. Varadarajan, CEO of KNISS Laboratories, encouraged embracing industry opportunities.
The ceremony included prize distribution for academic and research excellence, and the Pharmacist’s Oath was administered by Dr. K.S. Lakshmi. Dr. N. Damodharan delivered the Vote of Thanks, concluding the event with the National Anthem.
The celebration reaffirmed SRMIST’s commitment to shaping future pharmacy leaders through education, research, and service.
