Dr. Mehta’s Hospitals conducted kidney awareness Walkathon
Chennai: Dr. Mehta’s Hospitals organized a Walkathon at Elliot’s Beach, Besant Nagar, to raise awareness about kidney diseases and the importance of early diagnosis. The event, flagged off by former IPS officer Jayanth Murali and Actress Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, saw participation from around 200 individuals, including recovered kidney patients and healthcare professionals.
The Walkathon aimed to debunk common misconceptions about kidney disease, emphasizing that it can affect anyone, regardless of age. Dr. Kalaivani Ganesan, Head & Senior Consultant, Pediatric Nephrology, highlighted the importance of early intervention, healthy habits, and regular screenings in safeguarding kidney health.
